Achievements
Here, I demonstrated my featured achievements in the final year of B.Ed program. In this section I included my accomplishments and I related it to the competency areas with evidences that I have done during my teaching practice. In addition, I was able to accomplish the goals that I have set through discussing a selection of what I consider achievements in the field of education. Also, I am proud of what I have achieved because I gained lots of skills and experience in teaching and learning.

Professionalism
I participated in educational conference which was held in Ras Al Khaimah Women's college. The topic of the conference was "reimagining UAE Teaching in the 21ct century: Student-Focused Research and Practice". The conference had lots of beneficial information that focused on the future of the UAE's education and how can change the future of the students in learning. I gained a lot of knowledge through listening to the experience of student' research, teachers and supervisors who shares their ideas, skills and experience in teaching and learning. This conference gave me a lot of skills that will help me in the future job. For example, how to communicate with the people to get and share ideas and how to serve community to achieve a better life. I got a clear idea about the action research and how to write effective writing strategies in order to improve my skills in writing the action research.
IELTS Band 6
Getting a 6 band score in IELTS was my big challenge to graduate and get the certificate. So I got an IELTS 6 band on my third attempt which let me think about getting IELTS 7 band in the future after graduation. The reason is nowadays all sectors of jobs, whether governmental or private sector, are interested in IELTS holders and especially band 7. . In order to succeed in teaching and getting a perfect job, I deeply believe that IELTS is very important to succeed because it's judged the rich language that you have. Consequently, The Ministry of Education has decided to employ teachers who have acquired IELTS 7 band, in order to develop the education and English language and the in the community.
Preparing and organizing events
I am expert in dealing with special needs because I took the course about special needs in Education program. Fujairah Women’s College did an event which was about making special needs happy on the happiness day. So, I got involved by participating in a voluntary activity and my task was to do activities to make them feel happy. Managing this event helped me to think deeply about their needs and how to make them involved in the community. We decided to have dancing floor, jumping and painting areas which I believed that the special needs students need love, fun, care and Love of belonging. During the event, I noticed some students were shy and isolated, I talked to them politely to let them feel more confident and then I took them to the dance floor to play and have fun with the others. These things made me proud and happy to be part of their life.
I have had the opportunity to serve my community and build a strong rapport with the special needs students by understanding their feelings. Most importantly, I have gained skills of being patient and easy going while I am talking with the special needs. I can say that this voluntary activity was one of my achievements to accomplish one of my goals by implementing the course that I took (See PDP, under professionalism).
I attended a meeting with the teachers and the coordinator after the school to discuss and plan for the weekly lesson plan. It was a great opportunity for me to be a part of this meeting because it gave me a clear idea about teaching strategies. For example, the teachers were discussing the weekly plan and what is the suitable activities for each day. There were brainstorming that helped me to use my critical thinking and think about doing differentiation activities in the classroom. I think it is very important to be involved with the staff and got experience from their feedback in teaching.

I believe that getting feedback improved my skills in analyzing student proficiency in learning and how to make suitable activities that accommodate their knowledge. Also, it helped me to realize the importance of teamwork which lead to better achievements(See PDP, under reflection).

Special needs happy event
I feel proud to have a certificate of excellence by attending the workshop, that improved my communication skills, I became knowledge expert and be more confidence. This certificate gave me depth understanding of how to prepare and organize any events, initiatives and conferences. The workshop talked about managing the time, which I think it is very important to success in the future job. Moreover, the workshop showed how to organize conference that helped me to build my personal skills in communication.
ITT 2017 Information Technology Trends
The ITT 2017 Conference was beneficial for me because it focused on Technology which is important for me as a student of the Education Program. This Conference had lots of ideas that talked about innovative ideas, approaches, technologies, research findings and outcomes, best practices and case studies, national and international projects, institutional standards and policies on Innovative Technologies for Smart Learning. This opportunity gave me a chance to learn about many things and especially smart e-learning, applications of smart technology and intelligent systems in education and e-learning. This conference gathered a variety of great minds which helped me to wide my knowledge and experiences. For example, I attend a session which was about The Influence of IPads on Children’s learning and got the benefit of this research by understanding the issue and how we can solve this problem. I believe this will help me in the future to know how to use the Ipad with the students in useful way.

​Reflection
Monitoring School Teacher Appreciation Day
One of my greatest accomplishments in the B.ED program was monitoring school teacher appreciation day event in Fujairah women’s Colleges. We invited all the teachers who were our mentoring on the school. Its success can be seen in laying a foundation for active collaboration with the schools in exploring and pursuing best practice in teaching. On the other hand, we did a session about 21st century skills to explain and display our best practice. As a testimonial, Ms Caroline Hutchinson, the Supervisor of the English Department at Diyar International school in Fujairah, sent a video that she talked about her best practice. Moreover, she sent in an email made the following remarks: “Our teachers had an amazing time at the event yesterday. They were impressed by the best practices shared by your amazing students. Thank you for having our teachers participate in this wonderful and memorable experience. We look forward to having more of your teachers at Diyar.”
So, I choose this event as one of my achievements because it’s increased my academic performance in teaching which helped me to achieve my learning goals. Moreover, the teachers who attended the event were very impressed with the works that we did in differentiation activities. I can say that this event was one of my achievements to accomplish one of my goals (See PDP, under professionalism).
